Well done the “Y Bont Team”, Paul, Colin and Ian and all the unsung hero’s that enabled the first edition to get to press and be distributed. Well done!

Y Felin.

Dear Editors

Congratulations on the first issue of Y Bont. A very interesting and useful newsletter.

I hope you will go from strength to strength - it will be especially useful for our little hamlet on the A5 to keep us informed of what’s going on across the water!

A suggestion has been made to deliver a few copies to the shops in Corwen, which could be useful when promoting local events.

Good luck with the exciting new venture.

Dear Sirs,

I live in Llidiart-y-Parc and am increasingly alarmed at the speed of the traffic along this section of the A5. In the last few months there have been numerous accidents in the village due to vehicles being driven at speed. I feel that it is only a matter of time before some innocent person is badly injured, or worse, due to this lack of speed restriction.

I am given to understand that the local council have been approached in the past with applications for a speed limit to be introduced, but with no succsess.

Why are they so reluctant to impose a limit that could save lives?

Eric Lea.
